Four arrests after Swindon car park ‘drug users’ fled police

Four suspected drug users have been arrested after running from Wiltshire Police at a car park in Swindon.

Officers from the Central South Neighbourhood Team, Swindon Tasking Team and Swindon Response team were all called out to Whalebridge Car Park on Wednesday morning, April 3, after reports of drug use.

But on arriving at the scene, two of the suspected drug users saw the police coming and decided to run from the car park.

By checking Swindon Borough Council’s CCTV cameras in the area, officers were quickly able to identify and find the two runaways, and all four individuals have now been arrested for various offences.

Wiltshire Police have yet to reveal the exact crimes that the suspects were arrested for, but all four of them now remain in custody in Swindon.
