Two arrested for alleged drug offences in Middlesbrough

A man is set to appear in court today after he was arrested on suspicion of drug offences yesterday.

The male, age 24, was arrested by officers in Middlesbrough on Tuesday (April 23).

He was suspected of behaving suspiciously on Esk Street in North Ormesby by officers at around 6:30pm.

A search then allegedly found suspected crack cocaine, cash and a mobile phone.

He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 24th April, charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on Park Vale Road on the same day at 5pm after officers believed he was acting suspiciously and carried out a search of him.

Officers found suspected cocaine, and the male was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

He was later bailed whilst enquiries continue.
