Man arrested in Market Harborough on suspicion of producing class A drug as cordon thrown around block of flats

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of production of a class A drug in Market Harborough. Officers carried out a warrant at a flat in Kettering Road this morning.

Forensic investigators were also deployed to Edwin Court where a cordon was thrown around part of the block of flats, HFM reports. A video, supplied by the Harborough radio station, shows Leicestershire Police carrying our inquiries at the scene.

A police tent was also put up at the rear of the building around what appears to be a window to one of the properties in the building.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “This morning (Thursday 1 February) officers executed a warrant at a flat in Kettering Road, Market Harborough.

“A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of production of a class A drug. He remains in custody and a scene preservation remains in place while enquiries continue.”
