Police have arrested a man aged in his 30s following the seizure of suspected Class A drugs in Downpatrick yesterday, (Tuesday 30th April 2024).
The man was arrested following a search conducted at a house by officers from Ardmore District Support Team, assisted by officers from local Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
During the search approximately £10,000 worth of suspected cocaine was recovered.
A second search was conducted at a another property, where a quantity of drugs related paraphernalia was recovered.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class C controlled drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply, and being concerned in the supply of a Class A controlled drug.
He was later released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
