A Welwyn Garden City man has been arrested on suspicion of drug and firearms offences after police raided an address in the town.
Officers from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team entered an address in Thistle Grove, where they seized suspected class A drugs, cannabis, thousands of pounds worth of cash, drug supply equipment and two imitation firearms.
A search of the property’s garden also uncovered a motorcycle that had been reported stolen from St Albans.
A 21-year-old man from Welwyn Garden City was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession of firearms offences, and profiting from or concealing knowledge of the proceeds of crime and possession of a class B drug.
He has been bailed while enquiries continue.
“We carried out this warrant following concerns from the public about anti-social behaviour. I hope this reassures residents that we are listening to your concerns and acting on them,” said Sergeant Robert Wilson, from the NPT.
“I would like to thank our colleagues from Operation Scorpion who joined us on the warrant. All policing teams across Welwyn Hatfield are committed to working together to tackle drugs.
