Harold Wood stabbing: Schoolboy, 16, knifed to death named as Daniel Laskos

The teenage victim of a fatal stabbing in east London has been named as Daniel Laskos.

The schoolboy, 16, was stabbed on Church Road in the Harold Wood area of Havering shortly after 6.40pm last Friday.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services he died at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said.

Officers were also called shortly after 6.50pm to reports of another stabbing on the nearby Retford Road.

A second boy aged 15 was found suffering from a stab wound and was taken to an east London hospital where he remains, though his condition is not life threatening.

He has been arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.

A 17-year-old boy who suffered a stab injury was also admitted to an east London hospital, where he remains, and has been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray.

Three more males have been arrested in relation to the case, aged 24, 20, and 18.

Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are investigating and enquiries remain ongoing.
